Prof. Yun Wang, University of California

ASME Fellow, RSC Fellow

Yun Wang received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanics and Engineering Science from Peking University in 1998 and 2001, respectively. He went to the Pennsylvania State University where he earned his Ph.D degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2006. Dr. Wang joined the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering department at the University of California, Irvine in 2006. He has produced over 100 publications in PEM fuel cell, Li-air battery, and other energy systems, including three books on PEM Fuel Cell and a Practical Handbook of Thermal Fluid Science. Dr. Wang served as Track chair/co-chair, session chair/co-chair, conference chair and committee member for many international conferences on fuel cell, thermal energy, and machine learning. Dr. Wang received 2018 Reviewer of The Year from the Journal of Electrochemical Energy Conversion and Storage and is currently Professor at the UC Irvine, ASME fellow, RSC fellow, and associate editor for the journal of heat and mass transfer.

Prof. Jizhong Zhu, South China University of Technology

IEEE Fellow, IET Fellow, CSEE Fellow, AAIA Fellow, AIIA Fellow, ALSTOM Fellow

Jizhong Zhu is a Professor of South China University of Technology, National Distinguished Expert, Member of European Academy of Sciences and Arts, and Foreign Corresponding Academician of Academy of Sciences of Bologna Institute, Italy. He is an IEEE Fellow, IET Fellow, CSEE Fellow, AAIA Fellow, AIIA Fellow, ALSTOM Fellow. Chair of IEEE PES Smart Building, Loads, Customer Systems Technical Committee (China), Chairs of IEEE Standard P2781 Load Modeling and Simulation, IEEE Standard P2783 Quick Response System, and IEEE Standard P3436 EV Charging Load Prediction. He is also an Expert of International Electrotechnical Commission WGs IEC SEG6, IEC TC22 AHG1, IEC TC22 AHG2, respectively. Dr. Zhu has worked at ALSTOM Grid Inc. in Washington State, Howard University in Washington, D.C., the National University of Singapore, Brunel University in England, Chongqing University in China, and China Southern Power Grid. He has hosted and participated in more than 20 international large-scale power engineering projects, as well as led and participated in the compilation and formulation of 6 IEC and IEEE international standards. He has published six books, as well as over three hundred papers in the international journals and conferences. He has authorized more than 20 national patents and won more than 10 international and domestic academic awards.

Prof. Wei Yao, Huazhong University of Science and Technology

Prof. Wei Yao is Head of the Department of Electric Power Engineering, and national outstanding youth. He obtained my bachelor's and doctoral degrees from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2004 and 2010, respectively. He have been working as a teacher at Huazhong University of Science and Technology since September 2012. His main research direction is stability analysis and control of high proportion new energy AC/DC power systems. He has presided over 5 National Natural Science Foundation projects (Youth, General, Integrated, Excellent Youth, Joint Key) and 1 National Key Research and Development Program project. He has published over 100 SCI papers as the first/corresponding author (including 3 ESI hot topics and 18 highly cited papers), and authorized over 60 invention patents. He has received the second prize of National Teaching Achievement Award, the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award (ranked 5th), the first prize of Leading Science and Technology Progress Award of China Electrotechnical Society, the Outstanding Science and Technology Worker of China Electric Power, the IEEE PES (China) Outstanding Young Talent Award, and the Innovation Figure Award of China Invention Association. He was Selected as one of Elsevier's "Highly Cited Scholars in China" list for three consecutive years starting from 2021. He has Served as an editorial board member/associate editor for 12 SCI/EI journals including IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy and IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery.

Prof. Qiang Yang, Zhejiang University

BCS Fellow, IET Fellow, IAAM Fellow, IEEE Senior Member

Qiang Yang (M’03-SM’18) received Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science from Queen Mary, University of London, London, U.K., in 2007 and worked in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London, U.K., from 2007 to 2010. He visited the University of British Columbia and the University of Victoria Canada as a visiting scholar in 2015 and 2016. He is currently a full Professor at the College of Electrical Engineering, Zhejiang University, China, and has published more than 350 technical papers, filed 70 national patents, co-authored 2 books, and edited 2 books and several book chapters. His research interests over the years include smart energy systems, large-scale complex network modeling, control and optimization, learning based optimization and control. He is a Fellow of the British Computer Society (BCS), the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM), a Senior Member of IEEE and a Distinguished Member of China Computer Federation (CCF).

Prof. Bo Wang, Wuhan University

IET Fellow, IEEE Senior Member

Bo Wang is a Professor and the Chair of the Institute of Smart Grid at Wuhan University. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), a Senior Member of the IEEE, and serves on the editorial boards of Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems (PCMP) and Power System Protection and Control. He also holds the position of Deputy Secretary-General of the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) China Technical Committee. Professor Wang’s research interests lie in the areas of distribution system digitalization and electrical safety. He has led multiple national-level research projects, including three funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), two sub-projects under the National Key R&D Program, and one under the National Science and Technology Support Program. He has authored or co-authored more than 60 peer-reviewed papers as the first or corresponding author in leading international journals such as IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid and IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement. Among his publications, one paper was awarded the First Prize for Outstanding Journal Papers by the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering (CSEE) and recognized as a “Leading Paper” in the field.

Professor-level Senior Engineer Qingsheng Li, Guizhou Power Grid Co., Ltd.

Qingsheng Li, professor-level senior engineer, expert contacted by the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee, strategic senior technical expert of China Southern Power Grid, recipient of the special allowance from the provincial government. He serves as General Manager of the Energy Economics Research Office at the Grid Planning Research Center of Guizhou Power Grid Co., Ltd., Director of the Key Laboratory of Multi-Energy Systems and Simulation of Guizhou Power Grid, and Master's supervisor for Electrical Engineering at Guizhou University. He is one of the first batch of industrial mentors (graduate supervisor category) in Guizhou Province, a high-level innovative talent in Guizhou Province, Standing Director of the Energy Storage Market and Planning Technology Subcommittee of the Energy Storage Technology Committee of IEEE PES China, Senior Member of the Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering, and Member of the Energy Internet Professional Committee. His main research focuses on distribution network planning, energy storage technology, etc.
